The VIA ROMEA GERMANICA in pictures. Starting in Stade and travelling through the low mountain ranges in Germany, the Alps and the mountains in Italy, the pilgrim follows a wide variety of routes.
Bruder Klaus aus dem Ökomenischen Benediktinerkloster in Werningshausen (Thuringia) travelled to Rome on the VIA ROMEA in summer 2011. In 90 days, he made a pilgrimage of around 1600 kilometres to the holy city. He recorded his experiences in a blog and on a DVD. He can be invited to give talks under the motto “Pilgrimage to Rome … 1600 kilometres on foot for the unity of the Church”.
